Where did that come from?

I have to do a quick post for fear of forgetting this. Yesterday morning I had the luxury of sleeping in and awoke to my sweet little Ali Boo coming into my room. The first thing out of her mouth was "Mom, do you want to go to the temple like me?". My sleepy heart swelled with love for my baby girl who seems more grown up every day.
I know that I am not a model parent for teaching gospel principals in my home. Family home evening consists of me and Alexandra reading the friend together, bookended by the first verse of I Am A Child Of God. When I told my Mom about what Alexandra said she asked me where she had been learning about temple marriage. I paused because I could not honestly say that it is something we discuss with her regularly.
I am now going to work on talking to her about these important principals of the Gospel more regularly. It is surprising how much she picks up. I am embarrassed half the time I hear her lecturing her toys or dolls. She has my tone and list of frustrations down. Pulling out of the driveway on our way to gymnastics yesterday after a frustrating 30 minutes of trying to get out of the door, I said to myself "how am I going to be a stay at home mom?". I have been so blessed to have wonderful women watch Ali in my stead as I have had to work for the past year a half. She has learned so much in their homes and I know that the Spirit has been present. I feel that I have to realign my priorities and habits to create an atmosphere in our home that will be condusive to the type of growth Alexandra needs.
I wanted to put this down to reflect upon and remind myself of how receptive Alexandra is to the Spirit and how capable she is.
