This was me a couple of hours ago. Don't I look excited?
I'm sitting at the hospital, hooked up to machines and drugs and waiting...so I decided to catch up on a bit of blogging. Come on, what else should I be doing right now? :) I am at 3 and hoping to progress quickly. This sweet baby girl is perfectly content in my belly but I can't wait to hold her in my arms and take her home with me. My Mom flies in this afternoon so it really has worked out nicely. I am so excited for Alexandra too. She will be a great big sister.
The past month has gone by like a flash. I worked up until last Friday. I was lucky to be feeling so well and decided I might as well keep myself busy. Here are a few things we have been up to.
Anthony shaved his head in honor of Ashton, Ali's friend who was diagnosed with cancer 2 months ago. Ali went to Ashton's house to play and she was nearly completely bald. Anthony decided that he would join her. Isn't he the best?
My Mom sent this adorable sailor dress to Alexandra for the 4th of July. The Boo loves wearing dresses and especially loved this "special" headband. She always wears them on her forehead like a hippee. It totally cracks me up.
This was the best "smile" picture we could get.
Here I am getting "bigger, bigger". I think I was maybe 36.5 weeks or so.
One thing that I have been dying to do is take Alexandra up to Lake Geneva. They have a really nice beach and I knew she would like it. Lucky for us, Anthony had a Friday afternoon off a few weeks ago and we were able to go as a family. I laid on the beach in the sun and they waded in the water and built sandcastles.
Ali loved playing with her buckets and shovels.

She asks every day if we can go to the beach again. I am hoping to make it up there one more time this summer.
I know, I know, just what everyone wanted to see - my preggo self in a swim suit.
I don't what to say about this one other than wow. I had no idea what went on while I was at work :) She is a funny little bug, that's for sure!
And here is my favorite picture of the month. She loves doing silly faces lately.
Needless to say we have had a fun summer filled mostly with anticipation. I can't wait for the next few hours to tick by and to welcome our darling baby Sophi to the world. My next post will have pictures of this special baby girl!
