Alexandra and I survived our trip back to Utah. Southwest is awesome and they let Anthony go with us to the gate. I decided on a preemptive strike and changed Alexandra's diaper before we boarded the plane. Within seconds of leaving the bathroom I was crouched down to put away the wipes and Alexandra sat on my leg, I suddenly had a warm, wet sensation on my leg. I swear her diaper had a hole it! She wet right through the leg, her jeans and onto me. I thought I checked it well enough, but no. So, back to the bathroom we went with a new outfit and another diaper. I was so glad Anthony was there to keep watch on the stroller, car seat, my purse and the diaper bag.
The flight wasn't full so they let me take Ali's car seat on, which saved my life. This flight was heaven compared to the flight a few months ago. She would wiggle off your lap and make a run for the isle. Anthony had to hold her in the back for 2 out of the 3 hours. This go around I just had to keep her entertained (thank you Fraggle Rock!). Once we landed, I successfully juggled all of my possessions down to the baggage claim where I was met by Megan and Liam.
Megan and I did what we do best and went strait to DSW for a little shoe shopping. We finally made it home and had a traditional Rabner family dinner at about 10 pm.
Today, Megan tricked me into going running with her (she said we would be walking). I had a good time and can still feel the burn. I was then able to go to Lindsay's softball tournament and saw her score the winning run. We came home and Alexandra went straight to bed (no crying tonight!).
Other than not being with my handsome, wonderful, amazing husband, it has been a great trip so far. I will be in Utah for most of the month and would love to see some of you!
