Halloween & the 2 weeks leading up to it!

It seems as though Halloween lasted 2 weeks at our house.  It all began with the arrival of Alexandra's "nice" witch costume in the mail.  She loved it so much she put in on right away and had to Skype Nana to show it off.
A friend in our ward hosted a party for the kiddos.  She and another gal made all sorts of yummy treats.

We then had our ward trunk or treat.  Anthony's parents, Stephanie, Hayden and Mackenzie all joined us for the fun.

Anthony and Ali loved the fishing game.
Alexandra then had a parade and party at preschool.
The kids were all so cute in their costumes.  The parents though, we were the most entertaining part of the event.  We all had our cameras and took a million pictures.  I love it!

Sophi was dressed to party but decided to stick to the comfort of the car seat instead.
They had a number of games set up for the kids including pumpkin bowling, a velcro ball throw, a spider throw and a scooter track.  They then played pass the pumpkin and read a great Halloween book.  Their little preschool room was jam packed with kids and parents.  It was really fun.

On Saturday we found one community that held trick or treating.  Most towns around here always have it on Sunday.  So we were super excited to do some real trick or treating.  We went with a couple of families in our ward.  About an hour into it, Ali looked at me and said - in reference to Brother Clements who was wearing a poncho - Mom, he's a carpet!  It was pretty funny!

I love my girls!
Here is our worn out witch.  She fell asleep in the care on the way home.  This year was especially fun because Alexandra is getting old enough to understand what Halloween is all about - the candy!
