Am I the only one?

I just realized that I have about 5 posts that I started (dating as far back as December) that I have never posted.  Weird...I know.  I have been so busy while here in Utah that the blog is the last, last thing on my mind.  I feel bad though because I had every intention of posting every day for my sweet hubby who is flying solo - but it simply isn't happening.
So here's a quick snapshot - minus the pictures - I know, lame and ironic.
I work, the girls play and Sophi really likes to eat dirt.  Ali follows my dad around the yard like a puppy dog and plays tag with Georgia (the dog who thinks she is a person).  I try to be patient though I am tired and miss my partner in crime.  During Art City days we went to the carnival twice and ate yummy scones, went to the parade and "picked candy up off the ground" while watching the Utah County roller derby team "Rollier than Thou" do some awesome tricks and enjoyed the the "princesses".  We threw a surprise birthday party for Wormia, the dead, shriveled up worm stuck to the back porch.  Ali created an entire event including homemade cake, presents, hiding for the surprise and singing happy birthday.  My mom was then told that Ali did not want to go to the toy store and pick something out because Wormia would miss her - go figure.  After a bit of coaxing she finally relented and joined Nanny on an adventure to the toy store.  Much to my surprise she came home with stick horse Unicorn, new dress up and fairy wings.  I told my mom we will have to "rock, paper, scissors" to decide who has to break the news that the Unicorn will not be moving to Chicago.  I better start practicing.
We love to sit on the back porch in the sun in the afternoon and set up the bouncy house.  Ali is always reminding me to put on the "sun cream" so she doesn't get "fire" on her skin.  She cracks me up *almost* all of the time.  Sophi will be walking soon.  She is transitioning from regular crawling to that funny bear crawl where she is on feet instead of her knees.  I attribute that to knowing that I don't want dirt or holes on the knees of her cute, white sailor pants.  I'm so glad she knows where I am coming from!  That sweet baby makes me smile but I can't figure out the cause of her grumpies lately.  Here's to hoping for a bit happier week!
"Hunky Julio" and Nan met us at the zoo today.  Ali loves Hunky Julio and I chuckle every time she calls him that - which in always.  We saw the elephants first and Alexandra insisted that the baby's name is Dina and the mommy's name is Lindsay - my sister was not too thrilled that Ali thought of her when she saw the mama elephant - hahahahahaaa.  We rode the carousel a few times and my mom even got on an animal that moved up and down while wearing a skirt (shocker, I know).
I don't remember much else...so feel free to fill in the blanks on what your ideal summer vaca at your parents' house in Springville would entail.
And someday, I will finish those other posts and someday I will upload the 611 photos on my camera.  But alas, today is not that day and, well...oh well!

I am jealous of the Utah weather. Sitting in the afternoon sun here is not an option since it is like 95+ degrees then. If I were in Springville for the summer I would eat at Zubs, have a scone (which you did), eat tin foil dinners, and enjoy some time up the canyon. So glad you are having a good time! Keep enjoying-more fun is coming!

that was so stinking hilarious. why did she get obsessed with the worm? i still die laughing at her names for things. so so original. whenever i ask liam, for example, "what's the name of your monkey?" "black monkey mom." "what's the name of your snakes?" "that's purple snake, that's red snake and that's green snake." so realistic. just like, who knows?! love you! see you soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
