Summer - or at least the time from June to August

I've decided I shouldn't complain, the snow was merely in the foothills, covering the roofs of a neighborhood a few miles up the mountain from my parents' (as see from the kitchen window).  It was only Memorial Day - was it really *that* big of a deal to have SNOW - ummmmm....YES!
Alexandra, Sophi and I flew to Utah Sunday night.  After a long, difficult flight - where I actually asked the flight attendant for a sedative when she asked if I needed anything - we finally made it.  It was me, 2 kiddos, a double stroller, 2 car seats, a back pack, diaper bag, purse, portable dvd player and 4 suitcases (weighing nearly 200 lbs).  Packing light is not in my makeup!  In my defense, we will be here for the ENTIRE summer.  So I felt that I needed to pack the girls' entire summer wardrobes.  And anyone who knows our fam (especially our loving Nanas and Papas) knows that their wardrobes are not exactly small.
While it is nice to see my parents and be back *home* I sure do miss my hubby and MY home.  I am here to work like crazy in June and play like crazy when Megan, Lindsay and their kiddos get here in July.
I am hoping that summer will get here sometime soon.  I want to spend my first summer *off* outside, in the sun and heat.  I want to enjoy every moment of it, but most of all I want to get back to normal life and have my family back together.
So....if you happen to be in Utah and would like to see me and my 2 adorable kiddos, let me know!  If you are in IL, I will see you on the flip side :)

I hope you all have the best summer. The grandkids should have a great time together and mom and sister time has to be one of the top 10 best things in the world. We will be thinking of y'all and wishing we could make it there to see everyone.

We of course would love to see you guys at some point. We're just north of Salt lake like 10 mins. in Woods Cross. Don't worry, we've had some beautful days and they are only getting better- I hope! I'm glad you survived the trip!

Bad plane ride huh? Seriously she didn't give you a sedative. They don't give out anything anymore. My sister was flying and is diabetic and needed to eat her yogurt pronto and her 5 year old dropped the spoon...so she asked for a spoon and the flight attendant said they didn't have one. Why the heck not! What good self respecting flight attendant does not have a spoon and sedative handy. BTW, we already ate BOTH of those apple pie fillings you gave us. And yes, we are chubbier now....but oh so much happier.
