To Cleaveland that is. And it was actually a while ago... you know...this time last month three months ago! But who's counting? Anthony did some scouting at the the national hockey tourny in Cleaveland so the girls and I tagged along for a weekend away.
I took the girls to the children's museum. They had a fun Egyptian sand exhibit. I was surprised that Alexandra jumped in and started digging because she usually gets freaked out by having "dirt" on her feet.
Ali really enjoyed the water table. She spent a good part of the day here getting wet, which is also a surprise for this semi-OCD child.
Here is Ali bathing a baby. She also enjoyed this little baby care station.
Here is another typical crazy Kelsey photo shoot. On our way back to the hotel I drove through this amazing garden. They had different sections to demonstrate gardens from different countries. It was beautiful!
Alexandra could not wait to go swimming at the hotel. As she has no swimming capabilities at the moment we had to wait for Anthony to get back before we could go.
And here is a random Sophi picture that is not from our trip but IS too cute to remove. I love that little squisher misher.
The best part of our trip were the days we spent in Kirtland.
The girls and I went to temple and the church's Kirtland visitor's center and restored home area.
My testimony of the restoration of the gospel, the faith of the early saints and their sacrifices was strengthened.
It was truly amazing to literally walk where the prophet Joseph walked.
These are all original floorboards.
This is the room where the Word of Wisdom was received (in the Whitney store).
Here is the room where the school of the prophets was held.
This is the room where Joseph and Emma stayed while in the Whitney store.
Ali loved the story of Emma's kitchen.
The chair is this picture is an original chair made by Newell K. Whitney.
All in all we had a wonderful trip and truly enjoyed the time we spent together.

That looks like a great trip! I'm thinking we should go see some more church history sites since we've only visited Nauvoo. Oh, and Temple Square and the surrounding sites, but they don't really count, do they?
love the pictures. Looks like it was a fun road trip
