Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

The past week has been a little crazy for our family. Alexandra has hit the "Terrific Twos" two months early. She has become enamoured with the movie Cars and could watch it all day long. As she was sick about a week ago, we gave in to letting her relax and do what she wanted to do until she felt a better. This was a terrible idea. She has become rather picky about wanting to ony watch Cars and to watch it only in our room. She throws horrible fits any time you challenge her on this. The fits were so bad that she got bruises on her heels from lying on the ground kicking and screaming.

I always feel bad when she is so upset but the best way to handle it is to let her do her thing and ignore her. Even though we are learning to work through Ali's misunderstandings and lashing out, we have also enjoyed new and fun things. One of the most exciting things is that Alexandra is learning to kneel with us at prayer. She is so sweet and tries to do what is right.
Last Friday Alexandra and I met Anthony for lunch at his work and then went to the mall to play in the activity area. Ali is so funny because she doesn't get wild and crazy right away. She likes to watch the other kids and do her own thing until she is comfortable. But onces she has a hold on her surroundings she hops and jumps and plays freely. She makes me laugh so hard!

Another exciting event from las week was a surprise package from Grandma and Grandpa Rabner. My mom finished a couple of new dresses for Alexandra that are adorable. She was the talk of the ward on Sunday with this beautiful black dress.

Last Saturday Kristina and I threw a baby shower for Becky. It was really fun and I am thankful to all of those who helped and attended. We are very excited for Becky and her family!

I don't think I've EVER seen bruises on the bottom of someone's feet before! That's sad but kinda funny! She's adorable as always- looks just like your Mom.
