I win!

Wendi and I had a race to see who would get the cake pictures posted first...and I did!

Here are my favorite Ali pictures from this week. Overall we both did pretty well with all of the changes this week. She is so cute and fun to be with that I just miss knowing, seeing and enjoying what she does all day. This weekend was really nice though, Ali and I spent loads of time together and we got along for most of it.This picture is from this morning when we were getting Alexandra ready for church. She looks so cute in her tights with her little belly!

In the kitchen we have a Rubbermaid drawer thing with all of my cooking stuff in it. One of the drawers has Ali's dishes and that is the only one she is allowed to get into. If you have a treat that she wants, she'll run to her drawer, get a spoon and run back to you and ask for a "bize" which means bite. Today she had a few obstacles to climb over to get to her drawer.

Isn't she so cute when she sleeps? Okay, I must confess that this was staged, we her arm around the bear to get the "aaaaaawwwwwwww" effect.

Auntie Linny gave Ali a ladybug dress up set for Christmas. She has recently gotten into playing with it and loves twirling in the tutu. Thanks Linz!

And here is the latest creation! Wendi's daughter Melody turns 2 tomorrow so she had a dinner party for her tonight. We spent most of Friday and Saturday night putting this puppy together. I saw this cake on my friend Alicia's blog and loved it. I showed it to Wendi and she decided to take it on. Thanks Alicia for the idea and the help! I am shocked by how well it turned it. Wendi and I are quite the dynamic duo when it comes to being crafty. Our husbands keep bugging us to start up a business making hairbows, diaper cakes and now birthday cakes! We love doing it for our girls...but that's about it :) If anyone loves this and wants some tips let me know, I would love to share what I have learned. Here are all of the cute kiddos!

Wow. That was really quick on the posting! I confess you are the winner. That's okay because I could never have finished this cake, and it could not have turned out as cute as it did, without your help. Thank you, thank you, thank you Kelsey. The party turned out so fun!

P.S. I'm playing the "I was cleaning up after a birthday party" card, so there's no way I could have won on posting first about the cake. (Not that I necessarily will have my post published for another 3 days anyway, regardless of any cleaning to do.)

I love the cake. Travis and I love making Jonas' cakes together the night before the party day. We've made 1/2 cake for his 6months, football field for his 1st and McQueen the famous race car for his 2nd. I sent your blog invite tonight. I just decided this morning to make it private.

The cake looks amazing! You guys did a great job! Everyone makes the "you should do this professionally" comment...but, I don't think it would be as fun if you weren't making the cakes for kiddos you love! Still missin' you guys in Utah! Hugs!
